Greetings, from a fellow guitarist and music lover in beautiful East Tennessee!
My name is Charlie Hoffman, and I am a Certified Guitar Repair Technician, having studied under Master Luthier Barrett Culpepper, of Southeast Guitar Repair Academy.
I began playing guitar in 1963, and recently, after retiring from my former career, decided to begin my business in this passion of mine, Guitar Setup & Repair. My primary focus is on professional setups on both Acoustic & Electric Guitars, for those of us who want our instruments to both play & sound at their very best.
I do this work by appointment only, so that I can give each instrument the time and total focus that it deserves. I am happy to consult with you concerning preferences in setting up your instrument, from the type and gauge of strings you prefer, to the action (string height) that feels/sounds best to you, and suits your individual playing style.
